What is Brain Cancer?
Tumors that develop in the brain are due to a mass or a growth of abnormal cells in the brain. There several different types of tumors, some are noncancerous (benign) and some are cancerous (malignant). Brain tumors can develop in the brain (primary brain tumors) or they can spread from the rest of the body to the brain (secondary or metastatic brain tumors). The growth of a brain tumors varies on many things. The location as well as the how fast it grows can determine how it may affect your nervous system.Who is impacted?
In people who develop primary brain tumors, the cause of it is unknown. The following may increase your risk of developing brain cancer:- Exposure to radiation
- Family history of brain tumors
How is Brain Cancer diagnosed?
If brain tumor is a suspected diagnosis, the following procedures and tests may be recommended and completed:- A neurological exam
- Imaging tests
- Tests to find cancer in other parts of the body
- Collecting and testing a sample of abnormal tissue (biopsy)

Treatment of a brain tumor typically depends on the type, size, location of the tumor in addition to the overall health and preferences of the person.Treatment can done by:
- Surgery
- Radiation therapy
- Radiosurgery
- Chemotherapy
- Targeted drug therapy
- Rehabilitation after treatment
